POSTDOCS PLEASE READ: Updates related to communication and UCSF resources

Dear postdocs,

To ensure that important UCSF messages regarding the COVID-19 outbreak get to you – effective immediately – emails to the postdoc listserv shall be used for official university announcements and updates only.

If you have a message that you would like to get out to postdocs that is not official announcement (such as offering help for COVID-19 testing, sharing reagents, helping others with child or elder care, etc.), please post them to one of the PSA listservs; you can sign up for free and post your message in less than a minute.

I encourage you all, if you have not already done so, to bookmark and regularly check the UCSF COVID-19 website for updates and guidance related to COVID-19.

UCSF has also set up auto text alerts: to sign up to receive the latest updates by text message: Text 333 111 and enter "UCSF".

I also wanted to alert you that most of postdoctoral services are either reducing or closing their physical locations and shifting their services to remote access (via Zoom and/or phone). Even though you may not see these folks on campus as much – I can assure you that they are still working hard to support you and maintain the same level of service to you. A list of common postdoc services is listed at the end of this email.

Your health, wellbeing, and continued success remain my top priorities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (1:1 appointment, email: [email protected], phone: (415) 476-1448, Twitter: @PhdGabriela) if I can help you during this especially challenging period.

Wishing you safety and wellness,

Gabi
