Anti-Racism Library

As members of the UCSF Postdoctoral Association Board, we understand that postdocs at UCSF are the future leaders of science. Be it in academia, industry, public policy, or any other future career, UCSF postdocs will be at the forefront of their chosen field, making major decisions and setting cultural and policy directions throughout their careers. If progress is to be made on issues of systemic racism and anti-Blackness in science and beyond, UCSF postdocs are likely to play a part in that, and we cannot be forces for good without educating ourselves and reflecting on the consequences of our actions.

With this in mind, the Postdoctoral Scholars Association (PSA) has purchased a collection of non-fiction and fiction books that any postdoc can borrow to better educate themselves in both the realities of systemic racism and in the potential solutions for dismantling it. We hope you will all take time to check out and read our available books, available at both the Mission Bay and Parnassus Campuses. Checking out and returning a book is easy, just scan the QR code at the bookshelf. Keep checking back, as we will be expanding our library to include more voices and more experiences.
