Nominate a Colleague for a STAR Achievement Award

You are invited to utilize the Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Achievement Award Nomination tool to nominate eligible School of Medicine (SOM) staff for a STAR Achievement Award. Nominators will need to sign in via MyAccess – utilizing the tool off-site will require VPN access. Nominations should be submitted no later than Thursday, March 26, 2019. As of Sunday, March 29 at 11:59 pm PST, the portal will be closed and you will no longer be able to begin, amend, or approve nominations.

The STAR Program is designed to recognize and reward excellence in University service, significant achievements and contributions, and/or outstanding individual and team performance over an extended period of time. The recognition amount is $5,000, or up to 10% of base salary, whichever is lower. The contribution that is being recognized must reflect at least one of the Chancellor’s Priorities and/or the UCSF PRIDE Values

Please refer to the STAR Achievement Award FAQ and Nomination Letter Checklist documents as guides to help you highlight specific examples of employee contributions in your nomination. We are committed to ensuring that those chosen for recognition represent the rich diversity of all SOM functions and departments and include staff at all levels of our organization.

Eligibility is limited to campus policy-covered staff (PSS and MSP) and represented staff in the clerical (CX) bargaining unit.

Please contact me with any questions about the STAR Nomination portal or the STAR Achievement Award program.

Thank you in advance for helping us recognize the outstanding work of our staff, and for your support of each other, our students, and our patients.
