[OCPD] Mentoring workshop: when you are not the official mentor

Date:
February 28, 2019
Time:
11:30am-1:00pm
Place:
Mission Bay

What can you do if you are having issues with someone you mentor or supervise informally? Which issues should you address yourself? Which ones should you address with your PI?

As a graduate student or postdoctoral scholar, you may supervise or mentor someone informally: someone who is doing experiments for you, but who is supervised or mentored by your PI, for example. Read our case study about the issues a postdoc is encountering working with a technician at the bench.

Come join us for a work session over free lunch on Thursday, February 28th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mission Bay.

UCSF graduate students and postdocs are welcome to join in person or via Zoom (email us for phone information).

Space is limited, so register now, including if you plan to join via Zoom.

Can’t make it? Save the date for future mentoring workshops.
