This is the first event of a three-part series on writing for policy makers, focused on giving scientists the tools they need to make their voices heard on topics like determining the high-level direction of research and how to implement evidence-based policy. Here is more information about events two and three in the series.

Join us for a panel discussion on writing for grant-funding agencies and policymakers. With experts from academia, industry, and government, this seminar will dive into white papers, policy memos, and more, outlining how to concisely convey complex issues and why this style of writing matters for your research and work!

Questions to consider:

  • How can policy-writing shape the direction of research at UCSF and on a federal level?
  • How can research become the basis for evidence-based policy?
